In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
